Saw that a while back. Pretty good conversion, however I question the strength of the new body.
That and my GC-Chassis Impreza is still lighter Here's a taste of our local Sunday nights: |

Also, pic #31 (Shortly after hello kitty) - Leaning on his car
I want to hit him in the head with a <insert absurdly hard and heavy blunt object here, preferably on fire> because he's a flaming douchebag for leaning on his car like he's king pimpsauce. and his front-left blinker cover is broken and missing a chunk, what a tool. also his lower lip on the bumper isn't even attached all the way. What a fucking tool. also that Skyline... I think it's got a hideaway plate carrier. That = tit. |

Nice pics, HeK. Did you take them all? How were the owners at get togethers like this up there (I think some of the hate in this thread stems from the fact that in the US many of these types of gatherings tend to be of aggressive and rude types)?

Unfortunately, these are not my pictures. These are from the weekly gathering known here as 'Cruise night.' Generally a decent and good natured drive up and down the main strip that starts at dust and runs till question-marks. Until recently when a certain demographic (cough, Mustang owners) started causing trouble between the different owner groups and the police started intervention with inspection units and the like. The cruise has pretty much moved into a park-n-visit. Overall people get along. The local automotive community is pretty small and respectful, but you always get the odd 'show off' who stirs up problems. It's not any different from any other community (04-26-2010, 05:23 PM)Kirby, the Axe Zealot link Wrote: I want that VR-4 Wha? I see a Mitsubishi GTO and a Lancer Evolution |

Not quite, the GTO is right-hand drive, lacks dual catalytic converters, active aero, produces less horsepower and some other 'minor' differences that the importers overlook. There is also a Galant VR-4 that looks like a 1st gen LanEvo from the rear. |

They have the LanEvo's, AE86s, Civic's, and Z's here. They have 240's here too but not with the Silvia name.

You have 8th gen and newer LanEvos, that was a first gen. You have AE86 Corolla Sport GT-S, not the Levin/Trueno with the far more powerful 4A-GEU engine as pictured. The Civic isn't too special except it's a Spoon-built endurance car.... That is just a S14 240SX with a Silvia badge, but we also have S13 180sx/Silvias and S14 Silvias. You can import any car that's fifteen years old into Canada, from anywhere. BMW 850Ci anyone |
