also @ surf, in Under Great White Northern Lights, Jack White asks a Iqaluit elders about the symbolism of Crows, and a female elder explains that they crows are very smart and clever. I'd link the clip but I can't seem to find it on youtube. (movie is excellent though if you are a candycane child).
