These reasons terrify me to think how much worse my name could've been.

People in high school are dicks. That's the way it is everywhere. They are because it's an easy way to assert their alpha male authority. When someone calls you a name it's just them saying that they are better than you because you've got a funny name and they don't. But here is the big secret. They aren't better than you and they know it. And when you get older everyone will know it and they will just be a douchebag no one wants to spend time with. Because when you get older that shit doesn't fly, it's not good enough. And their secret will be out.

So how do you win? For one don't do something stupid that will end up proving them right. Don't let it get to you. Recognize it for what it is. A pathetic attempt by an insecure person to feel superior to someone else. Don't even let them in on the fact that you know that. Just let it roll off your back. Then get better at whatever you are good at. School, music, some talent or hobby. One day that shit will matter and people will be like holy shit you are awesome at X. And you will feel awesome doing it because you are good at it and it makes you happy. Then if someone tries to call you Queef then they will just be like shutup faggot the big kids are talking.

I'd recommend a sport or music, music gets you the ladies and sports make you feel good about yourself. You don't have to stick to the common ones either I've done rock climbing and martial arts and really liked both.

I like how we all assume that it's the Alpha's that are making the lives of others shitty. It isn't. It's EVERYONE. High school is a cesspool and everyone in it generally is not helping. No matter how innocent or shit on we think we were, we shit on someone else at least once, too. After all, we all wanted to fit in.

My life at school was generally horrible until a certain point. I'm a fat kid, always was, and people just loved to tell me like I hadn't already noticed. Every day. For several years. Finally at some point in high school, like at about grade ten or eleven, we were given a speech in english class. "What do you hate most in this world?" I figured this was my chance. I went up there and told them the truth. "The thing I hate in this world the most... is all of you".

I proceeded to stand up for myself in front of all of them. I told them all off, group by group and action by action. And you know what happened? I didn't get decimated. I didn't get destroyed. Suddenly they all wanted to be my little friends, for whatever fucking reason.

A lot of things did actually change after that. Our entire year of students all became much closer. Suddenly everyone showed up at parties and everyone had a nice word for everyone. Lasted until we graduated, and it was the best two or three years of my life.


Don't let them get to you. That's what makes it hell. Stand up for yourself in the way that works for you, if you're comfortable with it. They really only have power over you if you give it to them. It isn't easy to take it back.
