First physical game I've bought in one year (Last was Punch-Out Wii). This game starts out a bit slowly, but it's picking up. Also, are people really arguing that the franchise is played out because they put it in space? I barely think anything in this game counts as "outer space" and the fact that everything takes place on little planets means they can do something new every couple minutes. That said, I wouldn't mind if the next 3D Mario used big SM64-esque levels again. Also, Nintendo needs to fucking push Pikmin 3 out the door. I want it. Feeling generous? Alright, I just beat the game. Well, not get all the stars beat, but beat the final boss beat. I was really expecting more from that final battle actually. Pretty disappointing. The music during the level portion of the final level is very good though. Anyway, so far the level design has been excellent, the game is beautiful, and the music is amazing, but somehow I still expected more. I don't know. I'm still satisfied with it, but so far it isn't best Mario game ever material. I will review these comments again once getting all the stars.

I loved SMG1, got all 121 stars with mario and Luigi after 100+ hours of gameplay.
Loving SMG2 so far, it's way too awesome

Finally was able to play this game after two days of nothing but homework and procrastination.... and good god this game is awesome. :O
Gah, it's like the perfect Mario game. Didn't have the slow boring intro of the first SMG, uses a world map like in New Super Mario Bros, and every level is something new and awesome.
