Well...They showed the awful games for the Kinect and released a 360 that should've been out a long time ago.  Great show   I guess they did show Gears, Halo, and Metal Gear which is what I missed, but the big stuff seemed rather...disappointing.  I mean that 360 is nice and shiny, but like I really need one now after just buying a new one last summer lol

360's are set to red ring when new models are released.

It's just copied from the ipod generations 1-3 release model.

Metal Gear Solid Rising looks pretty epic.  Cut through walls, vehicles, pillars, and people.  Also looks like a kinda Dead Space, slow motion, intricate cutting system so you can dice people up into tiny little pieces.

Updated Microsoft conference. I'll try to use a different blog for each conference.

EDIT: Also, Child of Eden, the spiritual successor to Rez. It's for the 360 and PS3 as well, but will most likely be more targeted towards the Kinect feature of 360 is what it looks like.

Kinect looks to cost 150 bucks.  Instant fail.  Also the gimmick games are full priced affairs.  They really aren't even trying to make this acceptable for alot of folks.

At least it's not a card game lol I think it looks fun.  They didn't show much other than the cut dynamic, but as whats been said, it looks to be like Ninja Gaiden mixed with MGS.

EA event is on right now.  Think I missed the start, came in during Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.  It's all CGI, but the idea seems fun.  Haven't played NFS since like a couple of the earlier PC ones lol

-Dead Space 2 footage.
-Medal of Honor multiplayer and Beta is out for the two consoles and PC on the 21st.  Looks good.  October 12th release.
-Gunclub.ea.com...Basically a way to get stuff like early access to beta and demo's, sometimes unlockables, stuff like that.
-MMA info...Really don't care.
-More Madden, SHOCKER.
-Sims crap...Philosophical Sims crap that is utterly boring...AND IT NEVER ENDS.
-Crysis 2 stuff.  Of course it looks great, with it being on the Xbox too.
-Bulletstorm 2-22-11.  Footage shown.  Okay, the banter in this games kicks ass LOL
-SW: Old Republic stuff.  Cinematics right now.

The new Ghost Recon doesn't look too bad.  I hated the ones before, but the gear used is pretty nice and it looks alright.

While the new 360 is cool and all, I almost feel that it's 5 years too late. I mean, the PS3 had all that at release. I own a 360 Pro, but I know/hope that Microsoft is getting their next console ready, and this is just a holdover for a year.

Sony also couldn't fucking make up their minds with what they wanted in their console. "Okay, let's release a 60 GB with PS2 and PS1 backwards compatibility with built in Wi-Fi." "Now let's release a 20 gig with PS2 and PS1 BC without a Wi-Fi adapter. Okay, let's release 40 GB PS3 without PS2 BC and release a MGS4 80GB with PS2 BC at the same time." "Fuck it, let's just release a standard 80 gig PS3 without PS2 BC and built in Wi-Fi" "Now let's release a PS3 slim 80 120 GB and plan for a 250 GB release later down the road. Also still no PS2 BC."

Least Microsoft picked mostly one design and stuck with it for awhile until they released the HDMI systems and stuff. I'm picking one up since my 360 has been red-ringed again for a couple weeks (in before hurr-durr red ring, this is only my second machine that has done this, the first one took about a year and this one took about 3-4 years to red ring again, they also sent me back a refurbished unit, which says something) and I haven't been playing it much anyway, but stuff is coming out that's making me want to play it again. Plus I was probably going to end up buying an Elite or something anyway and this saves me way more money.
