Signed up for the wrong physics summer course.

Alternative to it would be taking 2 courses back to back all summer worth 8 credits, and that would only fill the requirement for a single course worth 4 credits at the school i'm a student at.

Also, there are no other courses I can take for other subjects due to various prerequisites and massive waitlists.

So it's either sit on my lazy ass all summer, or spend twice the amount of time and money I should on physics.

Or you could just show up for the RIGHT class and see if you can get signed into it. lrn2takeaction

I don't think you understand. I am taking summer school locally. I need to take 2 full summer courses to replace the 1 class I planned on not having to take over the course of the normal school year.

two of my soldiers are getting kicked out this weekend, and higher isn't letting me or my NCOs soften the blow.  It's going to be a freakin ambush.

Basically atom, he has to do two things at once this summer, which is impossible.
see the way he explained it in his first post, sounded like he signed up for one class and needed to be in another. In which case you show up and talk to the prof of the class you WANT to be in, full or not. And by show up and talk to, I mean show up, sit through a class, take notes, and talk to, because you run on the assumption he's going to either say yes or you're going to keep attending the class until someone drops out and he says yes.

Also, taking 2 courses back-to-back isn't the same as taking two at once. I've done that, it sucks, but it's doable. I was also working full-time. And had to walk uphill in the snow both ways. Well maybe not that last bit, but still: if you push yourself, you'll be surprised to find out how much you can actually handle.

It took me a while to realize what he meant too, also I think it's less of taking two courses back to back, but having to take the same course over two summers worth of work before September.

Feel free to correct me Didzo, dunno if I caught it right.

It's physically possible, as there are two back-to-back summer sessions. However, it doesn't make much sense money or time wise.

Additionally, there are two levels of physics: physics for non-engineering majors, and physics for engineering majors. I am not an engineering major (human biology), but I want to take the harder series just in case I decide to switch to bioengineering in the future. The course I am currently enrolled in is fine for the regular physics series, but in order to replace the harder physics course, I would need to take two of the same level physics courses over the summer.

So, I have 3 options: stay in the scrub physics class and risk having to take physics again if I switch majors, spend twice the money, time, and effort and take 2 classes to replace one, or sit on my ass all summer (which I would kinda enjoy, but would probably end up hating myself even more for selecting it).

I have to come up with a decision quick.

Thanks for the pep-talk Atom, but I'm a crazy motherfucker already. I usually go for the hardest variant of any course series offered (honors chemistry, even though I'm not a chem major and hate chem, math for engineers, even though I'm not an engineer, etcetera). My issue here is whether it's really worth the extra time and money to do it.

Organic Chemistry is what is going to help you with bioengineering, not physics.
PChem is the horrible one, but the only people I knew that had to take that were Pharmacy majors
