my razer copperhead lasted almost 6 years so it's worth the investment if you're worried about the price tags

Got my MX 518 today, light and great. Only issue I have with it is the scroll wheel has a little too high friction for my tastes.

I'm in the market for a replacement for a 5 button "Target special" GE optical... I'm looking at this one:

It's got 5 buttons, which i what I need. It has 1600 and 800 dpi with a button to switch on the fly

Is there there really that much of a difference between 1600 dpi and 3200 dpi?
Is there really that much of a difference between optical/laser?

Ahh, didn't see that. Still, refurb or not that's a great price. Still too rich for my blood though, I'm waiting for my G5 to completely crap out before I replace it. And seeing how it randomly changes dpi settings, that could be any day now.... :[]
