yea, that episode is rough. I remember reading about it on some list of most depressing finale's ever, along with Dinosaurs and some other random shows nobody watched (probably a cracked article). From Wiki:

god damnit dan did die? man that bums me out dan was like an inspiration for my entire life. he takes so much shit and always has a smile on his face. his wife is the fattest loudest bitch on the planet. his kids suck so much dick. he finally had a son after 2 terrible daughters and the kid turns out to be a complete pussy and prob turned goth or furry. his sister in law is terrible and worthless. his job sucks and he has an awful house.

he goes from being dan the man in highschool. star football player coolest kid in town etc to this and is still cheerful all the time. i mean look at him you know he was a beast in football. al bundy was similar but was the complete opposite attitude wise. terrible role model
