[/quote] Before I watched it I expected it to be lame and falsely praised as a classic so my expectations were really low. After seeing it I was pretty surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The pacing might be a little slow compared to films today (similar to 2001) but it's not unbearable. I don't think it's the end all be all of films that some people make it out to be, so in that respect I think it's overrated. |

Inception is definitely a must-see this summer. First real summer blockbuster that deserves it this year. Really wished I had seen it at an IMAX.

Just watched Mr. Nobody tonight.
Mr. Nobody [ english trailer ] What a weird experimental movie. It was facinating but I couldn't help but walk away from it thinking "wasted potential for this movie concept". There was no real direction to the plot, especially at the ending. Worst of all it was incredibly pretentious in it's presentation, and was 2.25 fucking hours long. But still interesting. Maybe if I was an indie movie scene kid I'd of loved the ambiguity to the plot direction but to me it just felt sloppy and contrived, especailly considering that the movie is very long.

I personally loved how this is one of the movies in a long time where you had to look at what is going on, try to connect it (and there was plenty enough time to figure it out while watching), and then enjoy for what it offers visually and mentally. Christopher Nolan did a fucking amazing job to have not two, not three, but four separate settings (and subplots in a sense) that works out and makes sense and how each of the characters' roles seems to simply work together. The ending - absolutely amazing, and leaves you to think even more about what happened again to try and finish it off. Personally I believe that Nolan will be taking the Best Director award, Joseph Gordon-Levitt for Best Supporting Actor, but since this movie is loved by everyone, will sadly not be taking Best Picture though it might deserve to be. A nominee for sure though. |

I want to hate them but then I realize that they are people who love movies that are forced to watch nothing but movies until it strips away the joy they once had for them. |
