I always keep at least three soda bottles filled with frozen water in my freezer. if the power goes out, I transfer a few to the fridge. When the power is on, they supposedly help keep the freezer cold and save energy. If you need ice for a cooler, no need to buy ice, just put a frozen bottle in there and drink the ice water if you run out of grog soda

it just increases the thermal mass of the freezer, you dump the same energy in to freeze it, it just takes longer to change temperature as a whole.

This is what I did.  Do you guys believe the fridge and freezer will be able to hold the temperature reasonably well, or is that ice just going to be water in 2 hours?

If you leave the fridge shut, it should last longer than a couple hours. And your options are that, or just throwing everything out.

Well water will hold the temp better than air ever could. It should take a lot longer than 2 hours for the ice to melt, but how long it takes depends entirely on how much you insist on opening and closing the fridge/freezer (hint: you shouldn't while the power is out unless you know it's coming back on reasonably soon)

Getting your license should have been priority number 1 when you turned 16/17, as it is a sign of maturing/growing up. I can't consider you a fellow Man until you have your license. Excuses for getting it are not acceptable. Man up, write that test, get your license.

Sure, friends are scarce; I grew up just like that in a small town in the middle of fucking no-where. For the longest time I let people dick me around like that too, never knowing when I would be the one to be shit on for a week before it would move on to be someone else's turn, or when I'd run into one of the MANY who always had something nasty to say to me for being fat, etc.

I stopped it.  I got so fucking sick and tired of people that I just stood up to them and ended it. I fought back, sometimes literally, and people stopped fucking with me. But most of all, I stopped caring what they thought and stopped letting them hurt me.

I guess I had a bit of a fairytale ending because it actually changed a lot of things for me. Most of the people I had trouble with before just... did a 180 and it was the best year of my time in school. After that I just couldn't stand people fucking around with me anymore and saw just how often it used to happen.
