It's interesting but way too fucking pretenious, and the movie has no real coherent plot structure to it at all. If you are an artsy fartsy type with your head too far up your ass you might say that it is supposed to be like that is it enforces the "plot" or the "message" of the movie, but that's like saying The Path is a well designed and fulfilling video game to play (it's not).

Also the movie isn't really about what the trailer makes it look like it's about either. Mostly because the trailer is 10x more coherent in it's message than the movie is and the ending bits make no sense of the random plot thrown around for the first two hours of it.

You have to go into strangelove expecting not a comedy but simply a period piece from the 1950's, then you'll find it more humorous and enjoy it more.

It's not "comedy movie" humor, it's black political satire humor

Everybody's right though.  It's all about expectations going in.

I mean, I didn't hate it. But I thought the acting and props were good, and the two leads did their job well.
