What are you guys using to get those screenshots; specifically, the fish-eye ones?

Actually that fish-eye one is 5 screen shots layered and blended with photoshop's photomerge well sort of...

How I do it:
1.open photoshop
2.take a print screen of minecraft
3.make a new image in photoshop, it should already have the clipboard size as the size of the image
4.paste the screenshot
5.make a new layer
6.take screen shot
7.and paste on to the new layer and repeat as many times but make sure you don't move your guy only move the the view with the mouse.
8.after that select the area that doesn't have the hud in it and crop that stuff out(don't worry about the hand but i do suggest the torch)
9.select all the layers
10.edit->auto-align layers->cylindrical radio selected->ok
11.then if all looks fairly good edit->auto-blend layers->pano->ok

panoramas own. There's an app in the apple store for making them that seems to make the process pretty painless, or you can go with the AutoStitch Demo which gets updated once in a while

yes yes there are a lot of programs that do panoramas but if you know what your doing Photoshop for me is the fastest and most reliable way of producing them, but the version has to be at least CS4

So I'm fucking around in Alpha with like 12 full stacks of TNT, and I go looking for the biggest cave I can find.


I end up blowing up so much earth at once and in such a massive area I actually over-ran the chunk edge and could see into nothingness before it could render a new chunk.

Notch revealed that the password to the SMP private server is !!Thomas!! (password is case sensitive)

Good luck getting in though because the server is always full. In the meantime though the guys over at Brocraft are streaming SMP if you want to check it out.

god i hope this means smp within a week

btw backfire i think kirbys box will be able to handle smp better than creative, since he's optimized it a bit, plus the new chunk system. oh, and the default fog is like half of creatives fog so client side will probably get better performance aswell
