so, tl;dr: I'm not near my apartment to oversee it, it's not really ready to move into anyway, and while there's nothing declared, it's possible for my roommate to just bail scott free at the moment.

Not to be a dick but honestly that is the only board where you haven't posted "my HS friends suck, I don't need those faggots," you probably just got +karma'd for contributing to a thread. That said don't take karma so seriously, the only thing people really need to take away from it is if they got lots of negative karma they just need to chill out

I always see it as renegade vs paragon points.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I've asked publicly before for karma to be eliminated. Or mine to be reset. But...I don't pay the bills here, so I've got to play by the rules established by those who do.

And interesting twist, though, would be if your karma points were only visible to you. That way, you'd know when people liked what you did, or didn't, but it didn't have the whole public shaming aspect to it.

When I was a bullshit green officer, much like Crow is now, one wise E-7 sat me down and told me, "Praise in public, punish in private. Give someone the 4-walls treatment, if need be, but do it in private." Listening to that advice has never steered me wrong.

id just like to see what posts you gained or lost karma on, so i dont randomly gain a point or lose one and find out months later it was that post you forgot you made that people hated/loved

yeah, the Wise Old E-7 told me that in high school.  And he was kinda a prick.  But sound advice is sound.
