I kind of think you're missing the point of those movies... They are not supposed to be good. They are supposed to make fun of the movies they are titled after and be funny for the jokes they make that rely on such popularity. They are not supposed to be award winning pieces of cinema.

You honestly think I went there for story? All it is is pop culture jokes and groin shots! When I go into a comedy movie, I EXPECT it to make me laugh, whether it's so bad it's good or just plain funny. But these movies aren't JUST not funny, they're a step beyond that. For god's sake, this movie isn't even as good as the movie it's parodying, freaking Twilight!

I know I don't have a great way of saying typing things, but this is similar to how I feel about these types of movies.

I dunno, I've always been skeptical about all these parody movies (Scary movies 1-999, date movie, disaster movie, meet the spartans, etc). I seem to recall (most of) them getting terrible reviews.

In this case, it feels as if I'd have to watch/learn more about the Twilight series to understand the in-jokes and gags, which is the last thing I want to do. Paradoxically, if that's not true, then the movie would just be poking fun at the series at a simple, brainless level; more a jump aboard the anti-Twilight bandwagon than a clever, thought-out mockery.

And either way you look at it, it's impossible to deny that this movie is profiting from the recent Vampire hysteria. I'd rather have as little to do with all of it as possible.

EDIT: Yeah, I'm taking a look at it, and although I can't believe I'm saying this, I completely agree with Karth here. About this movie being really bad, not the other stuff. I think the whole subjectivity of humor topic goes out the window when it can't pull double digits out of Rottentomatoes. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie did many, many times better, and it's completely surreal and in all honesty pretty damn stupid humor. Someone might get a kick out of it. But someone might get a kick out of puppies being immolated.

Oh those guys are doing Vampires Suck?  Those are the last guys I'd like to see do this :\ Fuck that.  Date Movie was possibly the first film I've ever seen.  I actually stopped that movie after watching it for like twenty minutes.  It was so painfully BAD, I couldn't stand to finish it.  I can't think of other movies that actually forced me to stop watching it.

Screw ever watching that.  I don't have a problem against parody movies...unless these guys make it.  I can chuckle at the Scary Movie flicks, even the last two cause they weren't made by them.  I don't mind stupid movies, shows, or stupid humor...but I draw the line with these guys.
