Now let me ask. I was watching a friend play this today and he showed me this weird monster he found... it's like a jelly cube. No idea what that is, never seen that before, and suddenly he's seen two.

It's a slime. They come in 3 different sizes. They used to essentially flood the lower levels of caves, but ever since notch "fixed" them, I haven't seen any at all. They're even more rare than diamond, which kinda sucks because the little ones are harmless and kinda cute

I have never encountered one, ever.  I finally found some bamboo on a map today, so that was nice.

I've never seen a slime on two different maps, hours put into both of them. It would be nice to have another enemy in the game.

I have found clay and lost 4 diamonds when I was killed and my stuff somehow disappeared afterwards. >


I got some bamboo today and I'm going to put it with my cacti. I made some waterfalls and lavafalls too... good day.

I started a new project (on top of the many others I still have to finish). It's going to be a giant tower/lighthouse. I have already created an island for it with an underwater base. I'm currently working on building the frame of the tower and it's freaking horrible. I've died so many times from falling. Here's a picture. Everything is located on the lower right island. I should take a video sometime. I have a ton of tunnels/dig sites. The bridge from the big tower leads to a tunnel, which leads to those big stairs.

I've never encountered any slimes at all in game, I get the feeling Notch accidentally removed them all together... And seeing all the stuff here..... I need to work on a project.. something epic... something really, really epic....

After  backfire hyped me with the game i tried to buy it, but Paypal wouldn't allow me since i don't have a verified US bank credit card asigned to it.

I give up :<. I miss out old brb.u servers, with our waterfall, the pit of despair, the rainbow road, Canadaland, and everyone whining about getting their underground bases getting flooded/lavaed.

I decided to work on a lighthouse too next to my fort.  I'm also gonna make sure my house is all stone and then work on some lava waterfalls, figure out how they work so I don't turn my place int a hot zone that no one dares tread lol

Pfft what fun is that? Flood the landscape then laugh manically as you point out that no the image's color isn't messed up and that yes, that is lava over 80% of the Landmass (Resulting in a domination victory for the Lava Civ)

Just bought it, confused as shit.

Tried to hollow out a bit of a mountain to make a 'house', got exploded by some monster, fell into a cave, found a sword or something, ran around, had to dig my way out, found my house, which got fucked up by the explosion, got a bunch of dirt or something

This game seriously needs a tutorial, I'm so confused right now...

I felt the same way.  Make sure you go to the Minecraft Wiki and look at crafting recipes.  It'll tell you what you need to make stuff, such as you start out making wood weapons and then move into the stone, then it's easier to work on stuff.  Hollowing out a house is an interesting idea though.  I've just been building mine from wood and stone lol

Never found a sword though.  Usually only find some random supplies.

i suggest you put the difficulty to peaceful till you get the hang of it, removes monsters and you regen health
