Niiiiice lava base. That must have been a ton of work.

Many trips down into my rock pit which goes straight to as low as you can go, heh.  I finished up Lava Eye Tower which actually wasn't too tough, just had to be sure to not fall and kill myself on the ground floor lol First picture shows the lava fort better and then the other gives a few from the ground level showing off that beacon of lava evilness.  Cause Lava is inherently evil lol

Maybe it's just me, but I get that initial velocity boost, but instead of hauling ass over the mountain in front of me, I start to slow down after a few bumps.

Now how the hell does a powered cart work? I can get it to move, but can you connect it to another cart to pull you along like a train?

Yeah no, my launchers still work.


Also, powered minecarts are still pretty pointless. They take coal, go on for some limited amount of time, but can't push a cart with you in it up a hill. Just use minecart launchers.

I have like a launcher highway system around my whole setup. They seem to give you enough momentum to have pretty large chunks of flat tracks after them.

Here you go. You might also want to use this Terrain.png to fix the snow textures

Also a pretty cool Tree generating tool has been released. I've yet to give it a try but it seems to look pretty awesome with that texture pack.

So, today was my first day of serious Minecrafting.

I went mining, fell into a waterfall which took me deep into earth, rich with redstone, gold, and iron.... and baddies.

I found and killed a slime and got some green goo eggs or something from it.

But then 2 skeletons killed me.



Even after getting back to the spot where I died, all my stuff was gone.




:'(






But that's okay.

I just mined even more stuff, expanded my base so it looks pretty sweet, and then climbed a super tall mountain, got a bucket of lava, made a glass enclosure, and created a massive, cascading lavafall! Which was all good, except that some lava leaked into part of my cave system. That was a mess to clean up, but I think I'll get more lava anyway and cause more destruction to my wintry world.
