i dont understand why you are willing to spend $250 on a mobo but are getting a 460gtx. i would get a radeon 5870 or at least 5850.

I think this looks pretty solid, you can never go wrong with Asus for motherboards

I got that mobo but the premium and I love it. The only real difference I heard is the premium has some better heat sinks.

[/quote] you mean this heap ? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813138194 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813131654 thanks but no. you're suggesting an AMD mobo regarding graphics: this comp is for my dad who plays WoW and Torchlight, neither of which are going to need a 460 , if he wants to get into some serious gaming he can get another 260 and SLI it (if that's even nessecary) 22 inch monitor. The emphasis is being put on severely low boot up times. Figured SSD + i7 will accomplish that. |

I have a 460GTX and it's great ???
Currently maxes everything I throw at it. Well okay Metro2033 I had to run with gimped AA otherwise it would run like ass but other than that it was good. |

460 runs cooler than the rest of the 4 series last I checked.
<+Karrde> welp, time to learn some basic patterning skills <@Negate> 12121212121212121212 <@Negate> there is a simple pattern <+Karrde> I changed my mind. Gonna cosplay as a gay demon from hell and get negate raped instead XD <+Caffeine`work> Karrde: Gay demon? Why would you need to cosplay just go as yourself <+FlyingMongoose> Caffeine`work: Karrde would actually have to tone it down some. |
