Now you know why I threw my hands up in despair and resolved to wait until either Notch put out a proper working server, or someone else made a 3rd party win32 C++ server that I can run w/ mono on ubuntu and have it be better than Notch's java server.

I mean, I can't play for more than 10 seconds without that stupid "Compressed Data Error" crash.  Scoured the minecraft forums, but it just seems to be something random people are saddled with.
