My dad had a grand mal seizure last night. Doctors aren't sure whether its caused by the current (experimental) cancer treatment directly or possibly just a side effect of reabsorbing the dead tissue from the brain tumors they hit with radiation a little while back, but it's some scary shit. His vitals were fine when he went to the hospital, and they didn't see anything wrong with his brain when they did a CT and an MRI, so they released him and he's home now.

On a sad but amusing note, the anti-seizure meds they have him on are causing him to slur his speech. Which makes him sound like a stroke patient (or a drunk), which isn't cool, but makes his NY accent pop out a little more, which I find hilarious. He hasn't lived there in 30+ years.

Sorry to hear that dude, you can only hope for the best and try and cheer him up by staying upbeat about it.

my arch-nemesis, was first put on active duty orders, in Panama City, for the oil spill, now he's been sent to Iraq as an Infantry platoon leader.  My jealousy pales only in comparison to my rage. 

I restart my 9-510-6 as an HR clerk tomorrow.  FML.

I've used MegaBus a number of times, and was fucking ON a MegaBus from Montreal to Toronto at the same time that this accident happened.  My gf now lives in Montreal (moved there last week), and I had planned to go a couple times a month to visit her.  Man, this makes that a little harder to follow through with now. Fuuuuuuuuuck.

I'm getting those for 30s-1m at a time while doing nothing, sorta often recently. I AM DYING OH GOD.

Also could be floaters - literally just specs in your eye goop. They are harmless but you should still see a doctor to make sure what they are.
