If you shaft down some light from the surface to hit the seedlings, would that do it?

Unless he retooled the tree's growth requirements from single player, it doesn't matter. They should grow regardless, if they have 100% light, which these trees are surrounded by a 3x~30 grid of torches, which is what powers my working underground crops, trees, paper and cacti, all underground.

Also moving shit around in your storage boxes too much often causes it to disappear, so... put it where you want it the first time.

a torch on each side of the tree should provide enough light for it to grow, and make sure it has a box that's 7 by 7 by 7 (with the tree in the middle bottom box) for it to grow in.

Comrades, I know I speak foul tones.... But I bring an issue to the table.

Regardless of weather or not Biomes corrupt saves... Should we re-start the server? If we do not, we would have to explore even further away from where we are now, and looking at the map... That's a hell of a long walk... On top of this, what's the map's size up to now? 40~ MB?

Things may go fowl.. but I propose we put forth a vote when biomes finally are released as to weather or not we restart the server.

whole point of infinite is to be....infinite

yes it would be a long walk, deal with it. also this is on a dedicated server now so 40megs isnt that much (isnt that much by personal storage measures either but i can def see the server getting up to 10 gigs long term)

Of course, I've also only played on the server for about a half-hour total, so I wouldn't be losing much...

I am not inclined to restart. I've been doing some good building thus far and don't mind going out exploring to find new stuff. There is simply no point yet.


But if it were put to a vote and people wanted to restart, then so be it.

What we can always when the map comes out, somebody will just go exploring until he reaches a different biome, then we'll take the map save, move the spawn to that area, then just restart the server. Everyone will still have their stuff, but spawn will then be at the other continent which would then persuade people to start at the new area.

Also, Freshly baked map fresh out of the oven. No location names since I'm too tired/busy to do that so someone else who knows the provinces can do that.

it loads fine, but when it finishes it whites out and shows that message.  When I try to stop the page before it finishes I get that too.

I see someone else is working on a pyramid too, but it's so tiny compared to what mine will be.
