I was having a bad sore throat which I think I figured out, the amazing allergy nasal spray works a little too amazing and dries out my mouth and throat in addition to my nose. But now I actually have a cold that has been going around the law school. On the plus side I spent way too much money on cold care and at least some of it is working.

My work cell phone is starting to die, so I went to Verizon to see if I could get an upgrade. They said I'm SOL, that my HR person has to do the upgrade.

So I bugged my HR person to get a new one. She said until upgrading it is a PITA, essentially meaning that I won't get a new one until this one dies.

So I tried to circumvent her by buying a Droid Eris online with my own cash, intending to get Verizon to swap the service over to it and maybe expensing it later. It arrived at my hotel yesterday. I went to Verizon today to get it swapped over, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they can't do the equipment change with my HR person's approval.

I've tried about a dozen axial pin tumbler locks, and I've never been able to open one with a pen.
Normal locks yes, but nothing fancy....

Either drill out the end of the lock or buy some cheapo 6 foot long bolt cutters from Harbor Freight.
