He's actually kind of got you there, Sponson. Smut does not necessarily equal art, and yet the human form in any engagement can be artful. Do you see the difference?

You present a statement to me thats actually pretty basic and then ask for confirmation if I understood what you were talking about. You assume that I apparently have no grasp on subjectivity ("but it won't be art to everyone" ring a bell?) despite how common knowledge it is (pst. even kids know art is subjective). I don't know about you, but either you think I'm retarded since you're pretty much telling me what people learn in like 2nd grade and then ask if I understand it. Either that or you're just really condescending. Sorry, no way around that. Unless you somehow didn't mean any of that at all and the entire post was just a major fluke where it was just made out to seem like you were condescending but in reality wasn't at all ever.

Lastly, don't think for one second I give a flying rats ass about if you or anyone else likes my art, or if you even consider it art or not or whatever bullshit neutral position you purport. I already told you that the classification is entirely useless - Marcel Duchamp kind of solved that around 80 years ago, but what do I know right? Also, it would be extremely vain to base how much I like someone or forgive someone due to how much they like my work. "Oh you really like my work so I guess I'll forgive you more than that other guy." Uh huh, yeah. Am I suppose to feel better if you like my stuff? Am I suppose to rescend my statement? I don't understand. Maybe you do though, but I'll skip on the lesson for now.

I've said what I needed to, necessary or not, but two paragraphs is more than enough to explain why I'm raging hard inside, even if it wasn't entirely civil, but nothing pisses me off more than some snarky insult - "Yeah its kind of there but you can't really call me on that" bullshit. I don't go flying off the wall for every little transgression, but fuck me if I didn't analyze your statement and try to find a non-insulting manner, my default mode isn't exact scanning for insults: engaging battle mode. At this point it doesn't even matter, you can either think I'm some huge dick wad who likes to insult people for no reason or whatever. But I'm just sick of shit, and I simply stopped tolerating it because why bother.

I wasn't trolling there, sir. When I troll, it's me saying stupid stuff in general to provoke a reaction/discussion that derails a topic into an interesting conversation, not to piss in everyone's cheerios and do verbal assaults on a person. I'm not the sorta fella who tries to split the a group into an actual serious fight. That is what I was trying to say. I did not believe you couldn't understand it, didn't think you're stupid. I know that no matter what I say at this point won't matter, but I guess I'll just say it anyway and then go.

I didn't think about what I typed at all, it would seem. The "do you see the difference" was not added because I didn't think you could. It was just added. Looking back at it now, I can't even figure out why I put it there. But I won't back peddle more or anything like that. I said what I said and no matter what I intended, the damage is already done.
