yeah, dont ever rely on auto or quicksaves, they're bugged right now.
also anti material rifle is the best thing ever, it flings people like 20 feet back and you can use incendiary ammo with it. |

Yeah I've relied on hard saves for now. They have a patch coming, hopefully it fixes it, but till then this annoying bug will continue to be annoying.
And yay for Combat Mark II armor, though boo to the Boomers. Took me a number of deaths to figure out the rather easy path to get to them, even with directions. Hoping to get a grenade rifle or something working for them. *EDIT* Derp, right after I posted this, New Vegas is updating lol Not sure what it fixed exactly. Just says Quest and Script Issues.

AND YES, you do a quest to turn on some power generators and if i recall there's 2 launchers there, a unique one that is good at crippling limbs, and a non unique one that has a 4 round mag in fairly poor condition. |

First impressions.
The feel of the game is almost like Fallout 2, but not quite. The music selection is great Voice acting is pretty decent Story is ok so far. Only got to the first NCR outpost Gameplay is decent, but not quite Fallout |

just finished it, spoilers below
ending was alright. went with NCR and in the end legion attacks the dam, you have to kill a legate. hard boss battle, took like 10 .50 cal shots to take down with like 20 little adds attacking me. after that you get the reel of what happened to the people you helped, and since i went with ncr basically all of them were "ncr helped with protection and trade routes but there were taxes." or "you helped but also a bad thing happened." really wish the story didnt take that route, prior to that it's all about finding the dickhead that shot you and ripping his nuts off, but then you have to enlist in the military i guess. probably different if you take over vegas so i'll probably be playing it two more times. all in all it's a good game. |
