Power armor is supposed to have some resistance, and I think in 3 there was a hazmat bubble suit, but I may be wrong on that

Well there's a Rad Suit that gives like +28 to Rad Resistance, but you still have constant radiation hitting you, one a second, never even stopping minor radiation.  Same goes for the Power Armor which is like +32.  Nothing actually protects you from the radiation.  It just slightly holds it back and you still have to devour Rad Away and buy every bit you can find, cause there isn't alot out there.  I burned through the most I can find in both Searchlight and Vault 34.

yeah i was wearing the space suit which gives like +40 to rad resistance, but nothing stops the constant 1 rad/second, at least they could have made the minimum amount per second some fraction of a rad

I had the space suit also for awhile which is the best you can get.  That one should protect you up to like the +5 stuff, especially when they have very little protection.    Why have these suits at all if Rad X will basically do the same exact thing and I had plenty of that stuff.

btw, the place is designed to be horribly irradiated and hard to survive, because it's got a ton of good stuff in the armory

Any doctor will get rid of radiation poisoning.  And I don't remember if I got to the armory.  I think I might've had to leave after taking out the last Ghoul.  I guess the reward is good, but still, I would like to see some actual radiation cover for once instead of just some weak resistance to it.

yeah, im p sure that vault is actually bugged, with like 100 medicine, radx, and a fully repaired adv suit i still got 1 rad a second

Doesn't matter with that Vault.  It's the same anywhere with Radiation.  I'm wondering if it's a bug too.  If the space suit doesn't do anything to stop radiation completely, then I don't think anything will.  Would be nice if someone could put out a mod to fix that perhaps.

You meat one at the start of the game lol There's also the doctor in the Fort at Freeside, the doc at the Brotherhood of Steel bunker, and I think there is another, but I'm spacing on it.

Yeah the gay blonde guy at Fort Mormon is a doctor companion but he won't heal you, he just makes all your healing more effective. Not sure if that include rad-away and stuff too though.
I got rid of Veronica for him because there's a bug in the pc version where she won't level with you right. Without power armor and a super sledge she was bleh and even with those a cazador would one shot her.
