Also I'm not sure if this is a true FML yet, but my job is being stupid by violating provincial labour law. They're making it impossible for us to take the two paid fifteen minute breaks we're supposed to have. Since I've worked there I have had several 8 hour shifts and have never had the breaks that I'm already being paid for.


So... I emailed head office. Technically, I told on my work, although I don't think my boss would be able to do anything about it specifically (since no one has yelled at her for not having enough staff at any given time). So we'll see if this gets me quietly fired (at which point I take it further like I've done in the past).

Even today I got called in early because a co-worker hurt herself on the job. Started at 12:15 and I didn't get my first break until 5:30. That's kind of bullshit. I was alone the rest of the time... can't do that. If someone needs a set of dishes or whatever from our off-site location I can't get it and the store loses $100. If I get sick or hurt, we're fucked, no one to cover for me. If I have to pee for crying out loud I CAN'T (but do anyway in the small bathroom in the back) because the store is untended.



Let's see if I'm fired.

So, the story is a dealership scratched the fuck out of my car, copy/pasting my fb post since too lazy to repeat myself:

Godamn, Calgary Honda basically did nothing to fix my car, it looks even worse than before, and to top it off they now deny responsibility for any involvement.  The manager called myself and my father liars and was completely unwilling to recompense the damage done to my car.  He flat up admitted that the only way to fix it was to have it repainted but refuses to do that because of course it was my fault, no way in hell could the same dumbass mechanics who got my work order completely wrong have fucked up my car.  So basically my only options are to hire a lawyer and take them to small-claims court or to roll over and fucking take it because I got fucking fucked over by a fucking corporation with more money than god.  Fuck my life.

So fucking mad right now.

I was supposed to close at work today and had some chores to do right beforehand. Of course some guy comes in and starts chatting. He's nice at first, interesting, and we start talking about what he does. He says he's a doctor and he's found some big fucking secret about life.

I humour him. He talks about how nutrition is a huge joke and no one has a clue what they are eating. I agree. He interrupts me while I try to agree with him. I let him talk some more and try to give some analogy indicating I agree. He interrupts me maybe five words in and says "I don't think you understand" before I can even fucking say anything that would indicate I don't understand. He proceeds to talk at me for half an hour, simply interrupted anything I say. He continues to insult my fucking intelligence as well. "Do you know what exponential means?" "I won't go into it further because I don't think you'd understand".

THEN WHY FUCKING TALK AT ME FOR A HALF HOUR ABOUT WHAT I WOULD FUCKING UNDERSTAND ANYWAY? JUST PAY FOR YOUR SHIT AND GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FUCKING STORE.

He says something else that is so insulting I actually laugh and finally he gets the point. He takes his shit and says I won't waste your time anymore. Good, right? No. Because then he INSISTS that I take his card. I tell him I don't want it. I have a doctor. He says oh no take it. I fucking INSIST I don't want it and he shoves it in my hand anyway  before leaving.


He was so fucking paranoid that his BIG SECRET would get him killed that when I suggest he publish if he felt so strongly about his lifelong work that he went insane and proceeded to literally tell me that "you don't know how the world works".


Then my sister calls and takes up my two days off with babysitting duties so that they can save $25 and not pay the neighbour to do it for them like they always do.

Work changes my shift on me AGAIN, third time this week, so now I have to come in and do stock AND lose half my hours that I was originally scheduled for. I can't leave unless I have another job lined up.
