Yeah not everyone has the stuttering issue, I just happen to be one of them that do. At least I can play the singleplayer which is still pretty good. About 6 or 7 missions in and liking it ALOT more than Modern Warfare 2. About to move into some World War 2 action at the moment.
*EDIT* Managed to play a match with the stutter, just barely, and I liked it. Wasn't seeing an abundance of kill streaks, the weapons were good and varied, and it seemed to play rather well. Now if this freaking stutter could get fixed, I might actually enjoy the game.

Seriously disappointed with the singleplayer so far :|. Plot is almost nonsensical (maybe after a second or third playthrough it'll make sense), suffers from a lot of the usual flaws of the COD series (infinite enemies, jaw-droppingly bad AI), and the character animation is just...bad at times (like when Clarke is hanging from the building). I guess it's the multiplayer that will make or break this game. Time to try that out.

MW2's singleplayer was pretty crappy I thought and that had even worse AI. So far, Black Ops isn't bad at all. It's easy enough to follow, aside from the in between interrogation stuff. That's where it gets abit confusing and it begins to make abit more sense later on. Kinda reminds me of Bad Company 2's story...just not as shitty as that. Don't see the bad AI really in this. They hang in cover, pop in and out, will move up on you or try to flank, melee if they get close enough, certainly passable, though that infinite enemies thing gets annoying, basically forcing you to push forward into fire to try and get them to stop.Â
Of course it's not a GREAT singleplayer game, but CoD has never really been about an amazing singleplayer experience. Something you play through once and then never touch. I'm hoping Zombies will play fine so I fool around with that for abit till the game is patched. |

Been playing MP for about an hour and rank 8 or 9. The guns feel a little underpowered, feels like the MP5 for example is shooting BB pellets.

Like where you start out as a Russian soldier with a clip and no gun. Call of Duty 4 had decent single player, nothing groundbreaking, but solid enough to make it feel like it was part of the game and not something that was tacked on at the last minute. |
