The entirety of this album is obscenely high levels of wonderful. However, I figured I'd share these with you, first. To clarify, this is actually two songs put together- "3 minutes of" and "Nasty Silence", two songs made to flow into each other. It's a wonderful specimen of audio. I wouldn't say -insanely awesome-, but it's definitely a treat. Just do yourself a favor and give the whole thing a listen. If need be, put it on in the background while you do something. Just trust me. EDIT: In case this sort of thing isn't something you like, here's something with a bit more smack to it from the same album. Merc said he liked one of the songs I had playing in the background, and I said I'd post where it was from, so the album is This Is the Warning by Dead Letter Circus, a band from my city. I think it was "The Design" that was playing....although a lot of the songs are pretty good on there.

VGMHQ #13: Transition (Bit.Trip Beat)
That noise at 3:00 sounds exactly like my floor board in the hallway creaking, so much so that I kept pausing the game and looking back behind me trying to figure out if there was someone out there. Listening to the Tron: Legacy OST.
It's had me worried as I was only hearing the fingerprints of Daft Punk behind all the orchestral...business. Half way through they have about a half dozen tracks that are far more their style; but I don't know about using a 100 piece orchestra, it almost doesn't fit that slick, techno-underworld feel the movie appears to have. That aside, all of it is completely epic, just not what one would normally expect from them(or perhaps that was the intent). Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. -Albert Einstein

I keep listening to Depeche Mode's 101.
Pains me to think that I may never see them live, unless they make a new album. The time between their 2nd most recent and most recent was 4 years. Oh yeeaaahh, another excellent electronica song about some aspect of the sky. Not clouds, or raindrops but sunlight.
Bag Raiders - Sunlight ft. Dan Black One should always play fairly when one has the winning cards. |
