college buddy's wedding last night... we started drinking for it on Thursday night...

afterward the reception hall kicked us out, we went to a bar (including the bride and groom).  I wore my dress blues to the wedding, when I walked into the bar, a Vietnam Era Sergeant (he was a combat engineer too- one of my people!  fucking awesome) called the bar to attention and gave me the greeting of the day.

Awesome.

P.S. what do you do as a combat engineer? Fix shit during combat? My grampa was an engineer in the Navy, but I'm preeetty sure his engineering duties didn't cross with his combat duties.  He mostly did stuff for Raytheon (like the Patriot Missiles, heard of those *beams*).

I've known people that swear the best hangover cure is to get up for PT the next morning and run 5 miles in formation.  It literally kills the hangover with manliness.  I've only done it once, I don't know wtf was wrong with me after the run, but I wasn't hungover.
