It's an alright game, but I have found plenty better. It's overrated, much like Munchkin. Funny, that.

Good for a quick intermediary though.

I did. In comparison to games like Power Grid, Race for the Galaxy, Thunderstone, Citadels, etc., its rules are just not as well structured or exciting in comparison. The gameplay feels very flat, and one of the killer elements in the game is that it encourages cheating to win, which I'm not a fan of. It basically reduces the game down to just a box of cards.

That said, it is a fun game, but it is the Monopoly of geeky board games in that something feels missing to make it feel truly rewarding in playing it.

I could have sworn we'd already gotten that one... must not have been signed onto live at the time.

We've done better. Saw a thread derailed on the first reply. Course, most intro threads are like that.

Wait, what were we talking about again?

I have every Munchkin set, save for the German Sammlerbox thing. And Zombie Munchkin, which isn't out yet.

And with strange aeons, even Death may lay down in the street and die.

This is now the tabletop games discussion thread.

I need to buy a Dominion set. So addicting.

Get Race for the Galaxy or Thunderstone. RftG is more about table building and setting up combos though it doesn't focus around deckbuilding. It's ridiculously fun. Thunderstone is like Dominion with a plot, and you have a separate phase to kill monsters to win points.

Also, Power Grid and Space Hulk. Enough said.

I was just visiting a friend at Cornell (the university) and his floor of the dorm pooled money to buy this.
I still have my copy sitting in a window seat cabinet.

If i remember correctly, this was the first thing ever i bought with my money. I think me and my brother did chores around the house for 2 weeks until we could save the 20$ the game was.

Worth every single drop of sweat shred those days

I played that Pokemon shit with my sisters so much back in the day.

I wish I had local friends into board games 'cause the only people I have to play with are Wedge and my dad, and Wedge takes like 8 days to take a turn in almost everything we play.
