I can download torrent files using some sites but in others I get an error. Google hasn't been turning up any answers for me. Anyone know what the deal could be?

Are you downloading the .torrent files onto your PC then uploading them to the torrent client on your NAS, or is the NAS device downloading the .torrent files directly?

A lot of websites do not allow hotlinking to their torrent files.
Download the files to your PC then upload to the nas.
