Elite four are harder than previous versions, IMO.  With pokemon the same level as theirs I can get through two before I have to spend lots of revives/heals.

Sawk appears in one game normally. Throh appears in shaking grass ONLY in that same game, and vice versa.

This is right. I think the shaking grass is in Pinwheel forest and Victory Road area. Also you can catch some of the Pan-s in pinwheel as well.

This is right. I think the shaking grass is in Pinwheel forest and Victory Road area. Also you can catch some of the Pan-s in pinwheel as well.

i caught both Sawk and Throh  in the grass below the entrance to pinwheel forest in black.  While grinding i came across a bunch of sawk in the dark grass and a throh popping up a handful of times.

Yea, you can go to a PC and go to "Juniper's PC" or whatever it is and she will tell you if you will get something or not.

TMs were items that could teach a pokemon a certain move it might not be able to learn naturally leveling up.


In the old games some TMs you could buy, others you found as items or were given to you, a TM had one use, then it was gone, so some TMs you literally got one of in game and that was it. Use it on the wrong pokemon, and you're shit out of luck if you want to use it again.

Now in the new ones they are unlimited use, eliminating that risk, and any grind to repurchase other TMs. They've also done a decent job of revamping the experience system to make it less of a grind...leveling up something to fill a pokedex slot or something for your team could be incredibly tedious....now things scale more based on level difference, but you aren't penalized at least by having a level higher than what you are fighting.
