Movie Reviewers needed! Inquire within!

So, with the addition of the movie review segment, we're going to try and get out a weekly podcast. Regular recorders will probably include myself and Live-Free-or-Pie. But, as we discovered last week, this podcast is more than a 2 man job. So, this is where you come in. Would you like to be in the BRB, Recording podcast? Then this could be your chance! The recording would just be a post-viewing discussion of that week's movie, consisting of a very loose outline. Editing will shorten down the length and rambling of said group.

But, you need to consider the following if you're interested:
1. If you commit, you MUST be available on the planned day of recording.
2. Have skype installed.
3. Not all the movies may be...*ahem* of our interest. Since we're trying to make this weekly, we may see a movie we haven't been looking forward to. Don't cry about it, just see it so we can slam it the next day.
4. These reviews take a long time. Be prepared to set aside at least an hour for recording.
5. Have a mic. (durp)
6. Have fun with it.

If you want to keep the podcasts together, I would suggest a  bimonthly schedule to begin with. Maybe once we have some of our planning/production procedures better defined then we can try working on a weekly schedule, but without a defined cast a weekly schedule doesn't seem feasible at the moment. You have to walk before you can run.

CAM's just ruin films for me when i have to strain my ears to filter the tinny sound out.

Piracy discussion aside i expect the internet to do to the film industry what it did to the post service. With unlimited streaming video services like Netflix available for the cost of one theater admission it's hard to put up a good argument against it.

If I'm not watching a new movie in a theater I'm not watching it at all anywhere. It would be pretty interesting if we started getting pay per view online services for new movies though.

For it to come to that Hollywood would have to give up on fighting piracy first, since the medium would be so kind to "redistribution".
