When I tried to turn on my pc it'd start up then go dead, tried it a few time then it able to start, after a while I just tried to scan a pic for a icon & it restarted it self in to which I turn it off made sure everything okay inside no fried wires. Hooked it all up again & when it was done loading it said it recovered from a errror

This doesn't look good. I would say reinstall windows on top of your existing hard drive. Let's wait and see if other people agree.

Could have a bad stick of RAM. Pull all of them except one, boot and test. Rinse and repeat.

[/quote] This. The only cheaper things that can break on a computer is your mouse or keyboard, and even then those are more expensive than RAM at times. I know both my keyboard and mouse each cost more than a 2GB stick of RAM. |
