Hi, basically I am lefty and I have a  Razer deathadder left-handed edition. Since I've always been used to right-handed mice, I want my *left click* to be on the left button obviously. But my mouse being a left-handed edition, has the *left-click* on the right button, so everything is reversed, which I don't want.

I checked the box in control panel so it switch both buttons on my mouse and everything is fine when I am not playing any games. Where it comes annoying is when I play games from developers who didn't think about poor left-handed people like me and their game doesn't take in consideration my windows settings. So if I either check the "switch buttons" box or not, as soon as I'm in-game, it detects my mouse as a left-handed one....so I have to press the right button to navigate in the menus.

I know I can switch both buttons in the game option so the left one "Attacks" and the right one "Aim" but it doen'st work in every game (ex.: GTA: san andreas, GTA: episodes from liberty city, magicka, etc) In TF", portal/portal2, l4d(2), css, it works fine and these games detects that I want my buttons to be the same as a right-handed mouse. All i want is hold a right handed mouse in my left hand, but it's designed for a lefty and it fits good in my hand :/....

*Yes I tried to uninstall my razer driver so it doesn't messes up my configurations but it still won't do it.

I can't find any solutions anywhere since there are not so many people with this problem....any HELP????

Hi Silver,

Basically what the issue is that since a lot of games access the hardware directly, they ignore the button remapping from Windows.

One solution is to rewire the buttons on the mouse Tongue

Besides that, there are few driver/software fixes that will really solve your problem.

Yeah that's what I think too, but I can't find any driver/softwares :/ if you find any, I'd be glad to give it a try.

Does the game have a built-in action mapper? I know you can manually make the buttons be different in games like TF2.

I would go the driver route first, since most mice use SMT components that are difficult to rewire.

Mice are generally single layer pcb. The mini-switches aren't too hard to get at. I've done RHD-LHD conversions before, but on older Logitech mice.
