@Kor: BRBU generally gets to see only one side of me... The side of me that throws sandwiches and mows down enemies while screaming obscenities. The other side of me like flowers and nature and taking pictures of it while throwing sandwiches and mowing down enemies while screaming obscenities.
@Käse: I used a Canon G9 with a simple polarizing filter. It was a bright partly cloudy day (blue skies with fluffy cumulus clouds make for pretty landscapes as well) and the hike was in the early afternoon. Joshua Tree National Park is pretty nice. Most of the plants desert flora is in bloom - I counted 13 different flowering plants, and I'm sure there were more than a few I missed. I'd upload more images, but Imageshack claims they are too big and I'm too lazy to make a photo sharing website account or compress the images.
