I almost stopped playing Broken Sword because they added a combination lock sorta puzzle that would just spazz out for no reason :/ |

Article says based off ATI's R700 chip, which is the HD4000 series cards. That's real processing power for you, not a cheesy-ass integrated video chip like the Xenos or Hollywood chips are. That's what excites me, a console with PC sized video rendering capability. Real graphics, not console'd down shit. Also with AMD's pushing toward a unified CPU/GPU system architecture, It would not suprise me if AMD handled both ends of this new console's processing. |

I believe not, but I wouldn't be surprised. Nintendo is listening just a bit to the fans this time around.

HD ain't going to change much. Shit gameplay is still shit gameplay, and good gameplay is still good gameplay.
I was happy with the five-sided toilets in Goldeneye, because it was fucking Goldeneye. However, I'm not fine with the shitdick who decided to make the background extra pretty, and let the story and the writing suck and the physics to glitch me into the wonderful-looking mountain face. Let's get the important things outta of the way first, then let's talk cell-shading or not. Any games confirmed for this thing yet? Perhaps No More Heroes 3? A long shot, but Super Mario RPG 2? Blue Crew.....I got nothing flashy set up.

I repeat what I said before, if this thing turns into essentially an HD Wii, I'm going to be annoyed because I just bought one.

You know, a couple Wii games do actually have HD assets. New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Donkey Kong Country Returns come to mind. I wonder if these titles would be able to take advantage of the hardware. Obviously, Nintendo has had this console in mind for years now.

Real graphics, not console'd down shit.In 2012 it'll be 'console'd down shit'. The 4000 series is pretty much low end now, it will be even more so in 2012. Of course it will be much better than the consoles currently are. They also will be able to create some crazy games with all that power. But five to six years later you'll be saying the same thing I bet. "console'd down shit". b) I'm sure Microsoft and Sony's consoles will be a bit better than this though. |
