I grew up in Chicago, and I used to live in Milwaukee, so it's not like I'm hating on something I'm unfamiliar with. I was also in that town last week, and it took me fucking 17 hours to get home from there because Delta sucks donkey nuts and stranded me in Detroit.

The main reason it's worth mentioning is because I don't know anyone within a 3 hour drive from there, unlike (say) rural Virginia, Indiana, Washington state, Oregon, Maine, or Florida (off the top of my head), where there's a BRBu-er nearby.

I honestly don't think that I lack confidence. I just feel like I straight up don't know how to talk to people. Christ, a bachelorette party is like the easiest way to get laid and there was like 30 of them..
I know the worst thing that can happen is that I get shut down, or something. I don't fear rejection. I think spending the majority of my free time on the computer has negatively impacted my social knowledge.

I used to have the same problem. Then I realized that 1) I wasn't getting any happier, so I said 'Fuck it, we'll do it live' and 2) That people will think you're interesting if you can tell stories, even if its about shit you think is relatively mundane.
