The GSL this season is incredible.

Anyone who isn't watching professional starcraft is missing out.  It's really something else.

It's a lot like high level chess, if chess players could six pool and end the game in 3 minutes once every 20 games.

Isn't that at like 2AM?

you can watch VODS, it's what i do.  It's like ten bucks for the season, but i share an account with someone so we take turns paying for it.  the price comes down to something like, 10 cents a match or something ridiculous.

I just picked it up the other week. Not very good at MP yet, I've lost all of the matches I've played. I feel like I should play SP on the hardest setting and when i beat those, i should start up MP.

Single player missions in SCII are *much* better suited to learning nuances that carry to MP, compared to SC.

I'd also agree with your idea, but insofar as you don't learn bad strategies. Also compared to StarCraft, unit balance tweaks and costs do not carry over from Battle.net to single player mode. Production times and costs for a lot of units if different from B.net to single player now, significantly enough to throw off tightly timed macro and unit production. I hate to say it, but the AI is a lot better then it was in StarCraft as well, play a few games against some hard AI, learn from them. At the very least you'll pick up the most basic rush strategy from them.



In SCII the idea that the best defense is a strong offence takes a whole new meaning when you're on b.net.

Yeah I've been watching When Cheese Fails from LAGTV and their live streams and at least want to get good enough where I can play a match with them and not have to cheese.
