Same here dude! Actually come to think of it, I've never posted the specs for my machine, have I? I was a nub and didn't build it myself, I did it through HP.

Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Generic HP High-performance case with fans and such, power supply not listed
Intel Core i7-860 (2.8 GHz quadcore)
12 GB RAM (set up some weird way, like two 4 GB cards and two 2 GB cards)
1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive
2GB ATI Radeon HD 5570 (budget from what I've heard but still runs pretty much everything out there)
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer sound card
DVD/Blu-Ray Combo Drive
HP 2310m 23" Diagonal Full HD Widescreen LCD Monitor (I love DVI)
Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard (THEBEST)
Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse
Pieces of a Logitech X540 (namely, two of the speakers)
Logitech Premium Notebook Headset (hoping to upgrade to a pair of Plantronics 777 by Christmas)

Also there's a TV Tuner in here too.

And why does he have 2GB of VRAM on a 5570? I don't think that's even possible.

I mean, what? Why pair an i7-860 and 12GB of RAM with THAT? What's going on here?

I'm giving 15:1 odds that his computer blows up on the first of our playoff matches.

Who wants in on this?

Can you split your steam games between a few harddrives? I'm about to get a new SSD in and want to know if I can use the old one for games, but it's only big enough to fit one or two.

nope, wherever steam is installed is where the games go.

alternatively you can pirate the game and install it wherever you please

But you can map and mount volumes any way you want.
My steam folder is mounted to a volume that is a SSD.

What you can do is install your new SSD and move steam to it using this tutorial: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_arti...-YUBN-8129

Then format and remount your old SSD as a folder within your steam folder for a certain game: http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-mou...n-windows/

The idea was to keep the cost under $400, a pair of $120 server NIC's would have obliterated that, never mind the server grade motherboard and CPU to accommodate the slot requirements of the NIC.

I'm moving at max 20Mbps, I don't need that much processing power on the NIC anyway. Hell, my WAP is using the onboard ethernet.
