Mega Man Legends 3 was a HUGE part of me buying it. I don't even know if I will when it comes time, which I figured I'd give it a good year or so to see the lineup.  Right now, looking at what is coming...There might be...two games, maybe one as I would possibly buy what the main one being Super Mario 3DS game and the other maybe being the new Resident Evil game. Not much of a selection.

Sad

Well, the fact that the person who even got MML3 greenlighted LEFT Capcom, along with the lackluster sales of the prototype version. I'm sure Capcom's corporate level is getting reorganized simply because of the fact Inafune left and they're looking for someone with his type of experience in the game industry (which his experience has been since the NES jump-started everything, probably not many people still in the business that have been making games since the NES.)

Legends would of been the the only reason why I'd even get 3ds,  That was sine cliff hanger at the end of 2

Sales for it were, quite literally, non-existant since the prototype version was never released.

3DS Price drops to $170 on August 12, though early adopters get 20 free NES and GBA games for free before then, which is a pretty nice bonus nintendo is giving us. Kotaku had some GBA games on the list as: Metroid Fusion, Yoshi's Island, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Warioware, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

If anyone is going to pick it up at $170, what you might want to do is buy it a week early, get your free game downloads, then go get a price adjustment the next week from the store to get your $80 back.

Yep, just have to make sure you pick it up at a store that allows price-drop guarantees. Also the NES downloads will start on September 1, and the GBA are sometime later this year.

Supposedly the 10 GBA games you get are only available to the early adopters, they aren't releasing them.

free games vs. $80

I think I would have chosen the $80 dollars. Too bad I bought mine the second day of launch. Too late to return it.

I'm surprised to see a price drop so soon, but it certainly makes it a more viable buy, though still not enough games released to warrant it yet still.  Maybe after some of the bigger titles like the new Resident Evil game...maybe the new Super Mario game, though I'm less interested in that after I found out it's more like New Super Marios with 3D levels.  Guess I'll never see a Mario game that is more like Super Mario 64 in design on the current systems lol

GBA virtual console is only being given to those who buy it full price before the price drops. It will NOT be available for purchase separately.

I was debating getting one. Now, notsomuch.

They're going to be available down the line sometime, I just think it's Nintendo's way of saying "We haven't decided on a price for the GBA and NES games yet."

From what I've heard online, Best Buy should. Though I wouldn't take a chance on my work, I tried looking it up quickly but didn't find it yet. If I do I'll post it here.

Also, NES is going to be available commercially for everyone later (I'd suspect around $4-5 judging by Wii prices and GB prices). And they never said GBA wouldn't be available, only that these 10 won't. Which, while it seems stupid, is entirely possible they keep 10 GBA exclusive, use us as beta testers for it (and the NES ones as well), then release other games commercially.

[/quote] no, they explicitly stated that the gba virtual console is bonus only, while the nes one will be open for purchasE later. bastards.
