Logged into the Nintendo eShop, not really sure if I was entered in the Ambassador program. Was no mention of it.

I'm surprised to see a price drop so soon, but it certainly makes it a more viable buy, though still not enough games released to warrant it yet still.  Maybe after some of the bigger titles like the new Resident Evil game...maybe the new Super Mario game, though I'm less interested in that after I found out it's more like New Super Marios with 3D levels.  Guess I'll never see a Mario game that is more like Super Mario 64 in design on the current systems lol

I'm guessing he doesn't just mean like Mario 64 as in 3D Mario, but a Mario game with large explorable worlds. The levels in both Galaxy games are all quite linear.

Yeah I don't mean it like just 3D in general, Sunshine and the Galaxy games have seen to that, but they weren't what I wanted to see from the series.  Half the fun of Super Mario 64 was wandering around the castle, finding secrets, exploring, that is the kind of stuff I loved.  None of the games have brought that back since then, going for much more linear designs in all areas.  I have other reasons for disliking Galaxy, but I've said my piece on that before.

If I had to say it more simply, it would be to see Mario mixed Zelda.  Not Mario running around with a sword and going through dungeons, but Mario going through the Mushroom Kingdom and exploring.  A good example would be like the Banjo-Kazooie games basically.  Imagining what could be with that on current and upcoming systems gets excited...then saddens me when it comes to things like Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts >_>

I can still hope the Wii U can bring something like this, but then again it's Nintendo and they have a hell of a time trying to go outside of the mold of things, then again they try and break the mold and they ship Mario off into space lol

Walmart is supposed to be dropping the price to $170 on the 9th now, so if you want to get ambassador games and a lower price without messing with returns, there's that option.

Ambassador games are out!

To download: Go to eshop, scroll far left and choose the settings/option menu, go to "Your Downloads" and then download them. Painful interface to get them sadly.
