Honestly? When I met you at ACEN you seemed like a normal, somewhat nerdy teenager to me. Quit over thinking things, take it from me you'll go insane that way. I know it can be harder than it sounds, but just be confident with yourself.

Eh I am not annoyed by you, I have no issues with you at all. You were a pretty cool kid at ACEN.

You do annoy me, sometimes. But you really grew on me. I think I talked to you about this at some point in the past, but I think it largely stems from not being able to read certain social patterns. It's good to be honest about what you think, but you need to keep in mind how people will react to it, especially if you can't properly articulate what you want to say. Taking a moment before speaking/typing helps take care of the "HERP DERP."

Don't overthink things and be patient.

Why do we execute people to teach them that murder is wrong?

We aren't trying to teach them that murder is wrong. They are being killed for 3 reasons.
Retribution: This is the belief that crimes can only be wiped out with a punishment of equal magnitude. The idea is that it balances out the evils of society. They are punished because they deserve it and in doing so we tip the scales back to neutral.
Incapacitation: In this case they can never commit any more crimes because they don't exist anymore. But this is also the main purpose of jail. We assume these people are unfit to participate in society and therefore remove them.
Deterrence: The idea that other people will know of their execution and therefore decide not to do the same crime. This is kind of a bullshit reason though because in many cases it's been shown not to be a deterrence. Also the executions aren't really public. Also it assumes rational actors that weigh the pros and cons of their actions.

Sounds like someone knows exactly what they are talking about.

It's hard to say because there's a million things that can be show-stoppers but I have to go with mutual respect. It's great and all if your love your SO more than the entire world but if you don't treat him or her with trust and respect then your relationship won't be very stable. If your love has true resolve than you can trust them unconditionally and overcome any doubts you have about them. I'm realizing this is not making a lotta sense so I'm going to stop typing right about n

This actually makes a whole lot of sense and is an important element that many people (myself included) have a hard time realizing. It takes some vision to know how to truly respect someone. Bah...

I think that it would be nearly impossible that we are. Just none close to Earth, unless if you could chimps and dolphins.

I'm not sure.  :-\

I think you are a bit immature, but you are supposed to be at your age. It's actually kind of weird seeing people grow up. Turtle used to be super grating and now he's fairly decent.

This, it comes with time, a good thing to do is always think twice before you post something. Tone and phrasing matter a lot sometimes between things like...

"God this game sucks and you're fucking stupid for liking it"

and

"I found this game shallow and pedantic, maybe it has merit for you, but I was unable to find any positive points"

I also always think of the karma counter less of "how much people like me" and more of a ratio of the number of times someone has said something stupid to the number of times someone has said something insightful

Give me a tick, and after I dine on kippers at the pub, I might be on board, old chap.

It's my understanding that the kippers have mostly been purloined, and the pub likely burned to the ground. For king and country!

Indeed, the local ragamuffins' uprising is quite the pressing matter.

Ragamuffin, why sire, we refer to disenfranchised ruffian children as moppets.
