Already I've found a fairly massive path split, minor spoilers ahead.
In the very first level, there are hostages. If you wait around too long in HQ you get told things got worse, and the hostages were killed, gassed specifically. Then you can either save them or ignore them. I ignored mine, but got the one at the very end, so mine were just found dead. Another friend shot the terrorist and his were found bombed. This game is crazy already.
