Take your turn at Medic or I WILL boot you

While everyone and their mother seems to want to try to get the new achievements, unless we're like on duel or something specifically trying just to get the medic achievements, don't fucking pick medic if we're already at 3 or 4 medics. And for the love of god switch up classes every once in a while.

I know I yelled at spore, budr, and luca for doing it, but if you've played Medic for the entire map cycle, on the next one don't play fucking medic at all. Those of you who have zero play time at medic have no fucking idea how to play it and don't seem to know your head from your ass when someone calls for it, do something useful and help others and the team.

A team full of medics can't get more than like 1 or 2 achievements, as several of them require you to be ubering/healing another class. Take turns, play like good little boys and furries so we can all have fun.

To be bluntly honest this achievement pack is a fucking insult to those of us that have been playing medic since day one and racked up a significant amount of time playing it. Just make sure when you're learning to play it, you take your time and do it right.

We can lock down the server on duel or something and take turns whoring if we want to just get a bunch of them I have no problems with that if it just gets things back to normal.

I'd be all for whoring out the server if it's locked up so everyone will play nice. And I wish it were retroactive as well. I've played a good amount of Medic as well.

I agree entirely with your sentiment here but I have a played a fair amount of medic so I feel entitled to try for the achievements. To be honest, this was always how it was gonna play out, it was just stupid of Valve to roll out one class on its own.

Oh and fuck using the console command, I want at least some feeling of achievement for unlocking them.

Since I'm usually the team medic I don't see a problem with me playing one, but I'll try to mix it up a bit more.  I'm also against cheating for achievements. I'd much rather legitimitely unlock most of them.

it's funny..while unlocking these achievements in other servers, people have given me tips on how to play the class and I've gotten a lot better at it.

Caff, you know I'm with you on this.  I hate achievement whoring as much as the next guy.  Next, will be some other class that people will whore until their achievements are unlocked.  But just let it happen.

Medic is by far my favourite class, and one of my most played.  I like to think I'm pretty good at it with a score of 32, and a most health healed of 11,005.  I am a little disappointed because I have had to stop playing medic altogether because of imbalance.  However, as much as I don't like it, let them do what they want.  Eventually, they'll get bored of achievement whoring and go to another class.  And once the achievements are done, I like to think things will balance themselves out.

And does anyone else think that these achievements are a little stupid.  I've never seen achievements get reached so quickly.  I have always thought that this whole achievement/secret thing was stupid and I still think it is.

I know that the next generation consoles have slowly become more and more like computers, but I never thought computers would become consoles.

I'll usually help out medics if I'm in a position to. Like I'll switch to heavy to get the team moving along and see if I can help some people with that punching/kills achievement. Or even going Engineer and shouting "I'm fixing my turret, if you want an achievement come to me" I figure that if I get people the achievements this whole class whoring thing will go by much faster. If you're going to hate anybody hate on valve for making the achievements worth something. Unlocks? Come on, this isn't CoD4.

Also, I LOVE calling for a medic and getting healed within 20 seconds.
