Anyone getting it tomorrow?  It looks like it has the potential to be a better version of Borderlands,  but the almost complete lack of gameplay footage or reviews turns me off.

There's a pretty good number of gameplay videos I thought :\  I got it pre-ordered and pre-loaded on Steam, and I'm excited.  Alot of my complaints with Borderlands was that it wasn't a good solo game or really a very solid shooter, this looking to remedy all of that, with better vehicle combat and still having co-op, but not being the focus.

Yeah, I don't know what you mean by complete lack of gameplay videos. And EGM just posted their review, as did IGN I'm pretty sure. The rest of the internet will probably post theirs tomorrow sometime.

And the co-op is acting like Resistance 2 or Uncharted 2, where it's probably objective based stuff created specifically for co-op play. If a game can do a great single-player experience as co-op (Gears of War and Splinter Cell are the ones that come to mind specifically. Say what you will about Conviction, but I think the co-op campaign was excellent for it, and obviously Chaos Theory.)

Yeah something is all kinds of messed up.  I'm getting crap framerate and texture loading from the depths of hell.  It's pretty much unplayable and there are ZERO video settings to tweak that I can tell.  You can turn on anti-alias...That is all.  The fuck happened? This is worse than Dead Island releasing the dev build of the game.

Yup, that is the exact problem I have.  Also I'm hearing it might be a 10 hour or less campaign...This is starting to be something I'm regretting...It's Call of Duty: Black Ops all over again.  I just hope it doesn't take a week or two for them to fix it.

It's a 12 hour campaign if you do just the story. Sidequests make it around 20 hours.

Was tempted to purchase it when they had TF2 preorder bonus crapola, but I hadn't heard enough about it to make it worthwhile. Honestly didn't even know it was coop until just now.

Oh wait, that means I can't buy it. Coop games. Never again.

And Carmacks answer to the problems? "Update your Drivers"...Yeah...That's my problem.

Apparently ATI is gonna be releasing some Rage drivers to help, though the other drivers I've seen are for the 5000/6000 series, with mine being a 4800, so I won't be able to use them, right?

*EDIT* And the new drivers fix nothing and in fact bring my framerate from about...5...to like .5.  Awesome. Guess I'm waiting a week to see if they can fix this shit.

I've almost gotten this game working.

Using what I found at http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/sh...t=2155651, I was able to get my framerate back.  That is working smooth, but I still have the texture popping problem and a new one, where it's just a bunch of squares and different textures on everything.

The game has gone from "Impossible to Play" up to "Uncomfortable to Play".  All the blinking texture squares is just hard on the eyes to stare at.  Lets see if I can't get this game working probably before Bethesda tosses out a fix, whenever that may be.

good luck. all the videos I have seen make this game look really on the eyes. I bet it's a pain in the ass looking at a game you know should look top notch.

It's just on the verge of being playable, which is killing me.  I might force myself to play, but I don't think I can play very long with this texture glitch.

*EDIT* Managed one mission, but the texture glitches are driving me nuts.  Seems pretty much like Borderlands, just with a more stable shooter base and simplified gathering aspect.
