How do I resume?

Because asking the internet about this is clearly the right choice...

ANYWAY

Jorbs are getting to be problematic here (I can't take more donations at the damn CSL Plasma place... I'm pretty sure it's killing me XD), so I'm trying to apply at the airport. (Because that's exactly what this world needs, a furry in the TSA)

Their website says I should take a stack of resumes to the airport and start handing them out (Have you heard the good news?)

The problem is my school either Never taught us how to resume (Because Standardized tests are so very, very much more important.) or I was blacked out at the time.

Find a template you like and fill it in with your own information. Then post it on google docs as read only so we can rip it apart make editorial suggestions for improvement.

Shit, if your JROTC is doing it right, that's management experience:  

"Founded unit's orienteering team- Organized team practice, developed training plan and generated training material.  Trained 21 fellow students in basic and advanced Orienteering techniques.  Coordinated with school and outside organizations to sign up team for orienteering meets during school hours, arranged transportation to events.  Lead team during 6 Meets, placing third overall in the "Mount Airy Invitational" meet, a JROTC specific meet with 13 rival schools participating."    

"Served as Xth Commander of XXXX High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.  Commanded a group of XXX fellow student, responsible for the day to day activities of the unit.  Managed the conduct of the Drill, Marksmanship, Colorguard, and Orienteering teams.  Under my command, unit competed in XXXX competitions winning XXXX honors.  Developed overall plan for unit for the year, blah blah blah..focus on how you were responsible for everything that happened and management of personnel for different duties... blah blah... lots of numbers... you get the point...

I wasn't in JROTC, Sogo was, I was down in the JROTC room for lunch cause the company was a shitton better than the morons in the lunch room. And pretty much every day Chief was yelling at Sogo.

I havent written a resume since early high school

a curriculum vitae looks much more organized.
if you need help writing a resume, I suggest (which is how I wrote my stellar CV) checking a few online resources.
there was a fabulous article i read about 6 overly-used words that should never be on a CV...one of them was 'Experienced'
it makes you resume/CV blend in with others in the pile the employer is gonna have to go through.


Maybe a bit of google FU with help you out...

AND ALWAYS WRITE A COVER LETTER TO THE MANAGER DETAILING WHY YOU'D BE A PERFECT CANDIDATE
