I wouldn't be surprised if some of the fight against abortion choice is really a legal smokescreen when they really want to avoid legal clarification of what is and isn't a "person"... and dressing it up in a religious subtext.

We had a race to the bottom that Delaware won that made corporate laws super pro-management. There were good reasons and logic behind this decision initially. But the problem now is that management can make out like a bandit without being good at what they do. Then they make up new ways of doing even better, some legal and some not. Then they lobby politicians to let them push the envelope further and further. Discuss the interactive effects of the GrammâLeachâBliley Act on the GlassâSteagall Act, how the free market responded, and how that relates to the Citizens United v. I will leave it as an exercise to the viewer whether or not the behavior exhibited by those in authority helps to contribute to the sentiments expressed by OWS protestors. |

Can someone help me understand the movement better? To me this sounds like people complaining because other people are richer than them but I feel like it sounds that way because I'm missing something. Politicians corrupt = definitely yes, but what beef specifically do they have against the 1%?

I wanna say it has to do something with the large corporations and the government basically being in bed with each other, though I'm not sure why it wouldn't just be a "bring back free market" campaign and push to do away with the government bailing out corporations that should have simply died off due to horrible business management as they bloody well should. Then again, I'm very poorly educated about any of these matters.

2.4mb sig ã(ಠâ¿â¿à² ã)      (â¯à² â¿â¿à² )â¯ï¸µbıs qɯ4Ë2 |

Politicians corrupt = definitely yes, but what beef specifically do they have against the 1%? You like graphs? I like graphs. Here's some graphs explaining how fucked we are. http://www.businessinsider.com/what-wall...1-10/?op=1 1% of the country controls 40% of the wealth. Big media is owned by the biggest companies, so it's a big problem getting the word out. Sony owns CBS, Disney owns ABC, GE owns NBC. Fox News started out as a channel to get "The GOP point of view" in a newslike setting. Michael Bloomberg was worth over $10 billion BEFORE he ran for mayor of New York. Every time the student loan ceilings go up, universities raise their fees and tuitions by exactly that amount. There's no risk for banks anymore because student loans are exempted from bankruptcy. The deck is stacked against us. Fuckin' Oakland PD rolled over the protest after softening them up with tear gas last night. Call 911 for domestic violence there and the operator will laugh you off the line. Disabled peaceful protesters? Motherfuckers roll out the SWAT trucks. Like I said, I want to protest, but I don't want to risk my future with a criminal record.

The 1% are not taking any money away from you. Big media is owned by the biggest companies, so it's a big problem getting the word out. Sony owns CBS, Disney owns ABC, GE owns NBC. Fox News started out as a channel to get "The GOP point of view" in a newslike setting. you'd be more successful getting your word out to the local affiliates who have much more leeway on what they broadcast Michael Bloomberg was worth over $10 billion BEFORE he ran for mayor of New York. and despite the R next to his name he's a huge liberal. Every time the student loan ceilings go up, universities raise their fees and tuitions by exactly that amount. There's no risk for banks anymore because student loans are exempted from bankruptcy. The deck is stacked against us. Fuckin' Oakland PD rolled over the protest after softening them up with tear gas last night. fuck the police commin straight from the underground.
