Does anyone else like Pineapple as an major ingredient in entrees, or is it just me? No one else ever wants to try pineapple pizza.

I enjoy a good Hawaiian pizza and pineapple salsa is quite tasty as well, but I usually prefer to just eat pineapple straight.

I like bacon a lot on burgers and tacos. I dislike pineapple in general.

does anyone else like pepperoni as a sandwich meat? I like to use ham, cheese, and diced pepperoni (from a log, not precut) and then toast it.

I always try to persuade my friends to try pineapple and mushroom pizza.  The few who are brave enough always love it.

My friends will never try my pork and pineapple stir-fry, or a teriyaki burger. They are both AMAZING

Pick one: A life without rest, or a life without meaning

NINJA EDIT: Meaning as in drive or motivation. A listless, lethargic life.

I want a life with meaning, be it with or without rest. But I also feel that I might never be able to attain that being the way I am.

It's not like you have to be a doctor or a peace corp agent. Just live for other people, say thank you or have-a-good-one, and hold doors.

Matter, I do not believe the things you said there simply give "meaning" to life. A doctor can have a life without meaning, and a janitor can live a life full of meaning.

I may decide to be a doctor, and I can tell you that being a doctor wouldn't simply make me feel like I have a meaningful life.

That's only my viewpoint though, and my viewpoint tends to be pretty egocentric. I know (but often forget) there are people in the world who do find definition and meaning from nothing more than their external actions, and that's all they need to feel content, purposeful, or happy. Part of me envies realities such as those.

are you speaking about a more existential and live-to-potential point of view? I'd be curious to know.

my personal sense of meaning is tied to my humanist beliefs about benefiting humanity, being a "good" person, and the usual generic stuff. One of my big life goals is being able to put someone else through college. I'll always be grateful to my parents for that and even if I don't have children, I'd like to do that for someone who needs it.

I would prefer a life without rest. There is no point in living if my life has no meaning.

If the rest you're referring to is sleep, however, I'll die in 7 days Sad

I suppose so.

Benefiting humanity, even in a minor way, does make me feel good about myself and seeing it makes me feel good about other people too. But it's not something I can really feed off of, at least not on it's own. I'm hungry.
