[/quote] The higher the capacity, the more likely it is to crap out on you, and Seagate seems less reliable than WD... But the price is hard to argue with. I'd just stick with a 1TB-1.5TB WD drive regardless. |

[/quote] Well to far the Seagate is the choice, but I'm not buying for a while, so I'm keeping on the lookout for inexpensive WD (anybody see some good Caviar Green deals?) |

Well ill probably buy up the board and ram and dvd drive soon. I got enough parts to test it working and then I can wait on case and hdd deals.

The improvement isn't insane, but it is noticeable, things like TF2 mapchanges are also about 40% faster. If it's a WD Black drive with 64MB cache, you're golden. |
