Tucker and Dale vs Evil was pretty great.  I'm not much for the  horror flicks, but being more of a parody of one, it wasn't too bad lol

I wasn't sure if I wanted to give my time to this one.  With your recommendation though, I'll throw in on my queue.  Thanks.

It's nothing amazing, but if you like horror flicks, you can probably have some fun with this one lol

The new Planet of the Apes was fantastic.  Better than I expected really, even from what I heard about it. I thought it was gonna be more of it's own thing, but it plays with the original series very well, setting up the first movie.  I always wondered how they might explain the lack of humans around and this movie did it just right.  Well done.  Can't wait for the inevitable sequel.

Kind of weirded me out that some of the score sounded synchronized. Then again, it's fairly early in the production, so I shouldn't be surprised that the score isn't completely composed yet. Everytime I try a score with synchronized I always miss and not because the synchronized effect, because the score is on "defense" mode and pass through me jumping and running anyway. So unless the score is synchronized right next to me, it's hard to aim anyway (the only situation i can figure is a corridor, and your oponent is a dolby.)

Saw Adventures of Tintin tonight. Pleased to say it was pretty good. The motion capture was done really well and never pushed the uncanny valley. Definitely similar to Indiana Jones, but only in the grand "across the world" adventure sense. Had a lot of over-the-top action in it which was really entertaining. The 3D was pretty good too!

Good movie.

Watch Tron: Legacy tonight and I enjoyed it for the most part.  Not comparing it to the original at all, since I barely remember that one, but on it's own, it wasn't too bad and I'm interested in the sequel now.

I hope you watched it on a surround sound system. The sound design in that movie is incredible, as is the soundtrack.

I'm pretty sure if the forums was TF2, and you still played, that was a crit rocket, and Karrde would call you a "try hard" for it.

Sadly no surround sound system for the house yet, was just watching it with headphones. The sound did seem really good though and the soundtrack worked well for it.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was really good. I also got the trailer for "The Devil Inside." I honestly think that trailer was more disturbing than some of the scenes in the actual movie. Tongue (And the movie has some fucked up stuff in it, and even though it's an American film, the director does not shy away from it.)

Watched Attack the Block, which was alright.  It was pretty predictable and you want all the main guys to just die (Other than Nick Frost), but it was okay.  Was weaker than I expected it to be.

Watched "The Great Dictator," A comedy staring Charlie Chaplin. (Was in an old-school mood, obviously.) Anyway, as I was viewing it, and having a few laughs with some friends, Chaplin suddenly went into a poignant speech that actually stuck with me. I was impressed, and so emotionally drained that I had to wait on watching "A night at the opera" until my mood improved.

The movie that made me a Chaplin fan.  I haven't seen many of his films, but I've loved all that I have.  Especially this one, and especially that speech.  It's one of the few moments in cinema that always has an effect on me.  It's a really beautiful moment.

My father got Rise of the Planet of the Apes for Christmas, and I watched it with him.  I really, really wanted to like it, but there were just too many stupid moments that kept sucking me out of the experience.  The damn dirty ape line felt so forced, all the characters were stupid, and Draco Malfoy was especially irritating.  At least the CGI was pretty good, and the pointless girlfriend was pretty pretty.

Randomly grabbed the MC Frontalot Documentary "Nerdcore Rising" and watching it, which is okay, not really into hip hop, no matter how nerdy, but it got me wanting to watch others.  Anyone know of some good or entertaining ones for gaming or music? I've seen stuff like King of Kong for games, or for music, I've seen the Iron Maiden Flight 666 and two good metal documentaries, but I'm up for checking out anything right now.
